Director cards can use their capacities to generate resources toward your Director Pool.
In addition, Directors may have several special abilities, called Director Perks.
There are 20 Director Perks currently available.
Some Director Perks may receive a special prefix and be restricted to an expertise.
For instance, a Director may have an "Investigation Recruiter" perk, instead of a "Recruiter Perk", which only allows you to validate opportunities when drawing for the Investigation line and not for the other lines.
3 Director Perks related to resources mastery:
- Corporate Control Level X: a Director with this Perk can click on resources available in the Operation Pool and convert them into Director resources. The Director can only do this X times per turn.
- Field Control Level X: a Director with this Perk can click on resources available in the Director Pool and convert them into Operation resources. The Director can only do this X times per turn.
- Magnate Level X: a Director with this Perk has X more Funding Points available at the beginning of the game. If related to an expertise, then the Director begins with the related symbols in Funding that he may activate at any time during the game.
7 Director Perks related to a quick start:
- Assets Level X: a Director with this Perk begins the game with X random cards from your deck already into his hand. These cards can be any card, but not a victory card.
- Associates Level X: a Director with this Perk begins the game with X random cards from your deck already into his hand. These cards will always be Agents cards.
- Buildings Level X: a Director with this Perk begins the game with X random cards from your deck already into his hand. These cards will always be Secret Bases.
- Fame Level X: a Director with this Perk begins the game with X victory points already given to his team. Only the highest bonus in a given expertise (or for a Fame unrelated to an expertise) is given to the team, meaning you can't add several bonuses of the same type. However a team may still combine bonuses from several expertises together and also add a non-expertise Fame.
- Quick Starter Level X: a Director with this Perk has X chances out of 10 that opportunities drawn in the first turn are already active and do not require you to open up your line, and a guarantee that at least X opportunities drawn are active.
- Resources Level X: a Director with this Perk begins the game with X cards already into his hand. These cards will always be Special Resources cards.
- Storage Level X: a Director with this Perk begins the game with X random cards from your deck already into his hand. These cards will always be Upgrades cards.
2 Director Perks related to end game:
- Black Market Level X: when attempting to fill an opportunity line, a director draws as many cards as two times his capacity. However, once his deck is emptied a Director only draws 3 cards from the Black Market. A Director with this Perk draws X more cards from the Black Market when he draws from it. If this Perk is related to an expertise, then only cards related to this expertise can be kept, others are put back into the Black Market which is then shuffled.
- Cleaner Level X: a Director with this Perk discards the first cards he would put into the Black Market when discarding opportunities. After applying any retaining ability, if the Director must still put cards into the Black Market, then the X first cards this turn are discarded instead. This prevents enemies from using your cards at the end of the game.
4 Director Perks related to opportunities mastery:
- Expert Level X: a Director with this Perk increases by X the number of his opportunity slots in a given expertise, up to a maximum of 5 total slots.
- Prospector Level X: when attempting to fill an opportunity line, a director draws as many cards as two times his capacity. The Prospector Perk allows you to draw as many as X additional cards when trying to fill your opportunity line. This Perk does not work with Black Market cards.
- Recruiter Level X: the Recruiter Perk allows you to accept opportunities or not as valid opportunities are drawn into your line. You may reject valid opportunities as many as X times per turn. If you reject an opportunity, it won't be drawn into your line and you will continue to pick cards just as if you automatically picked a wrong card.
- Retainer Level X: rejected cards usually go into the Black Market deck. The Retainer Perk allows to automatically put the first rejected opportunities back into your deck, instead of in the Black Market. This works as many as X times per turn, meaning the X first cards will be retained.
4 Director Perks related to victory points mastery:
- Decorated Level X: a Director with this Perk receives X more Combat Challenge Cards into his deck. If restricted to an expertise, then the additional Combat Cards are always of the expertise mentioned.
- Explorer Level X: a Director with this Perk receives X more Mystery Challenge Cards into his deck. If restricted to an expertise, then the additional Mystery Cards are always of the expertise mentioned.
- Problem Solver Level X: a Director with this Perk receives X more Hint Cards into his deck. If restricted to an expertise, then the additional Hint Cards are always of the expertise mentioned.
- Tactical Commander Level X: a Director with this Perk receives X more Battle Points at the beginning of the game, in addition to the 3 default points. These Battle Points are used to deploy Agents to Battlegrounds and increase their effectiveness. If this Perk is related to a given expertise, then only Agents of the specified expertise may benefit from this option.
